Giles...Love it!

I have shocked and appalled myself....how can it have taken me until now to find this amazing piece of dino jewellery by Giles? Oh my I must have one!

Oh no wait a minute. This costs £1485.00. Ah shoot and my budget was £1480.00.

Nevermind. I'd settle for the classic T-rex beauty by Tatty Devine....just as awesome but for a more affordable £114.00.

But whilst we are on the subject of Giles I can't not mention this ring...er...wow!

That's all I have to say on the subject.

Goodnight people. The Pharmacist has left the building.

Sports Luxe

I just got back from the Manchester 10k run...watching of course, don't think I would like to run it...well not after seeing people crossing the finish line with inverted faces. Strange. Anyway after stealing a powerbar (it is very strenuous watching) and walking back to the car all I could think about was how the shiny foil things that people wear afterwards were quite on trend....silver, sports luxe is everywhere! So I think I might extend my stealing of powerbars to getting a foil sheet and fashion a bag like this one from Marc Jacobs SS10 RTW.

See even watching sports can be fun.

Dotty for DOMINIC!

I am very excited after reading reports on my favourite designers new Autumn Winter collection. I feel like I have been waiting yonks for this news, and all I can say is that it seems it was worth the wait because the new jewellery collection from Mr Dominic Jones looks, to put it bluntly, frickin' awesome. It's all rose gold (which I LOVE) and silver and it seems there will be many a creepy crawly cast for the part. Fab!

Now all I have to do it save up enough to buy the pieces from his last collection before they all sell out....Oh how I am desperate for the rose thorn necklace and studs.

Wow...this is weird.

I have been online now for a good few hours. You know how it goes, especially with blogs...one thing leads to another and then another and before you know it you're no longer looking for future trends or accessories but have stumbled across the strangest performance piece ever...you have got to watch this...

Kabiri...I love you...yes I do!!!!

Well the bank holiday is coming to an end...boo hoo. Just consoling myself by looking longingly at the jewellery on Kabiri.

I think there may be a ring on this site for every occasion....seriously, whether you're in a mood or feel strongly about volcanoes and pyroclastic clouds you can find some finger fashion just for you. Or maybe they're all for me?

Anyway, if you were so last week and still thinking about volcanic activity (which I always am) then you could wear this amazing "rock" by Lady Grey. It's a little bit "Dantes Peak", which I love, but  alas my terminally clumsy nature would certainly mean that me and the ring would also require eye protection, which probably isn't a good look.

Talking about poking out an eye....how deadly is this little beauty. Very 1990's minesweeper. Merle O'Grady I salute you. This deadly weapon is truly beautiful. Want one, but please send me some safety eye wear too.
Now if there is one that i'm not loving, but only because it freaks me out a bit, it's this one by Carla Amorim. Does it remind anyone else of a knee joint...eewwww.

Ah well, I would love to say I can wear one of the above but the way I am feeling today there is certainly only one that fits the bill. I reckon I should invest in this knuckleduster from Audrey Ang's Auds collection.
...come on...everyone has a day when they need this one, right!?

Perfect dress + Perfect Shoes = Buy second pair just in case.

I am very excited people! Just been to a lovely shopping night at Reiss and one Pimms later...well let's just say... I have a problem resisting. This dress is sooo gorgeous and I am already planning on wearing it to every event this year (this is the only way to justify it). First Stop...friends wedding at the end of May. Stop two...New York in June. Yeah baby!

I am positive that my Laura J London shoes will look amazing with it, so there will be no "oh I must buy a new pair of shoes to go with the dress" whining.
Having said that I do wear these shoes so much I may have to buy another pair just in case some horrible shoe accident should befall them.
I am pretty sure you can still get these beauties from the online shoe boutique Kindred Sole.

The Iron Lady!...Sorry I mean Skelator!

Is anyone quite as excited as I am about Ironman 2? Have you seen the full trailer!? Wow...the bit at the end where his suit folds out and unfolds around him! I'll tell you if we could all have clothes like that it would make Monday mornings a whole lot simpler.

Anyway, thinking (not non stop, but more than is sane) about Ironman led me to one puzzling thought..."If I were a superhero, what shoes would I wear?" So to come to a conclusion I thought I would look through some superheroes and see if I could give them some shoes.

Here are the results....

Marvel's Wasp just couldn't step (or fly for that matter) outside without these Alexander McQueen beauties.
Silver Sable would defo love these Versace silver platforms...I mean, come on, what's not to love!?
And my personal fave Poison Ivy would look S##t-hot in these McQueen ankle boots...

Which leads me to a rather irregular conclusion. Has anyone ever sat down and thought about how many of McQueens shoes are actually kitting out the world's superheroes? Maybe we should keep this one a bit quiet though....but if the folks over at McQueen are reading this....I'm thinking of starting a superhero group and I will be in desperate need of these skull peeptoe pumps. My name will be Skelator (original...I think so).

Swapping my Mickey for Prada

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I have been having what is medically known as a "Disney-comedown".

This is the severe condition where you go to Florida and spend a little too long in Disney world, you go crazy (for want of a better word), buy Mickey Mouse ears (sequinned of course) and you denounce all fashionable accessories in favour of them.

It is true, I was doing laundry in them the other day (and no I will not post pictures of this), but thank god for Stylist magazine. Thanks to them I can finally come back to fashion reality with hardly a scratch (that is, I didn't wear the ears round on the Tube, so no harm done). My new obsession I hear you ask? Well let's say that I shall be casting aside my ears in favour of these A-Mazing Prada postcard sunnies....too good to ignore.
Thank you Stylist, Thank you Prada, you stopped me flat lining!

Good clean easter fun!

There used to be nothing as exciting as the easter egg hunt at this time of the year and the best (if not the most horrible) place I ever found an egg was in the hoover bag! I know...gross right?! Crazy parents.Well anyway this year I'm hoping that the easter bunny brings me a colourful treat and if it's not too much to ask maybe it could be hidden somewhere sanitary?

I mean this amazing Yves Saint Laurent ring kind of looks like easter eggs, don't you think? So that would count in the easter egg hunt right....ehhhh maybe? Ah a girl can but dream. More likely to find a Cadbury's caramel egg planted firmly behind the flat screen. Well if i'm lucky.

Have a great easter everyone

Shoe lust

I am very excited about my new ankleboots and just had to share them with you......Just brought home these stunning Laura J London ankleboots....LOVE THEM!
Well actually, I kind of like everything from their new collection....wish I'd bought them all....especially these amazing blue numbers.

On another note I still haven't found any damn wedges that I like, and to think they are supposed to be everywhere. Nevermind. I'll satisfy my shoe lust elsewhere for now.

Goodbye Lady Luck!

A few days ago I snapped my name necklace that I got from Lady Luck Rules Ok jewellery. I am very sad about this and very annoyed that I must always be so clumsy.

So I went onto the site and low and behold it is closed! Okay so it closed at the end of Feb so I am slightly behind on this one but all I can say is what a shame! Leona and the team made amazing rock n roll style pieces that were great to cheer you up on a Monday morning.

Anyway, the times they are a changing. Thanks for the great pieces and Lady Luck really does rule, Okay! You will be missed. Think i'll have to get a souvenir necklace for old times sake.

The Whale I Fear.

If there is something I can't get out of my head at the moment it's Moby Dick.

I must have been so traumatised by reading Melville's novel that the old sperm whale keeps haunting me at night and I wake up feeling rather annoyed that there is a whale is trying to eat me!
So basically I am trying to channel my fear into a productive fashion fix. And what better way than by taking said whale and shrinking it to the size of my thumb and wearing it round my neck? Well if I had £270 at my disposal I would certainly channel my fear onto Kabiri.co.uk and purchase Iwona Ludyga's amazing whale pendant.

Though that probably won't be happening for a while so in the mean time I will be resolutely staring at the brill painting by art and craft genius Lee May Foster. Surely after a while the pretty colours will dissolve the whale-phobia and I won't be forced to spend all my food money on Leviathan trinkets.

Amen to that Ahab!

Fall RTW. The Good, The Bag And The Iceberg!

With Paris Fashion Week at a close I must round up my loves and hates ...

The first note has got to be about the late McQueen, whose whole collection was simply stunning….Seeing these beautiful pictures from the show just makes me sad that this is the last time we will see true McQueen styling.

I mean, the fabrics! The cut! And not to mention those baroque platform ankleboots….bloomin’ marvellous.

As far as hate goes, well all I can say is that maybe some people look at the Talbot Runhof collection and think “darling,….so high fashion!” “So hot right now!” Personally I think…Tin Man?!

Now if you haven’t already seen the Chanel rtw catwalk click here to watch it. Mr Lagerfield's show took place amongst REAL icebergs! I kid you not. Okay so the hairy outfits are not my cup of tea but 10 out of 10 for effort.

I LOVE PAMELA LOVE!

If there is ONE thing I desperately need (not want...need) for SS10 it has got to be....(okay so maybe I have a list longer than my arm) but seriously i have decided now, It has to be something from Pamela Love's SS collection, because it is all genius. And I know it's all supposed to be nudes and pastels and floaty florals but I'm bored already. I want to go back to gothic...aw09 was soooo good for gothic and now i'm taking a stand and putting her creepy and amazing heart necklace at the top of my wish list for ss10, forget the wedges I want human organs on a chain. And i'll tell you something, I'll be going straight to Forward Forward to get it....so there!

BIGELOW'S BIG BREAK

Wow, it's hard to comment on accessories when it comes to the Oscars...so many floor length gowns covering the shoes! How dare they. Most of the dresses were sedate, but at least old SJP did something a bit weird with her dress. Although the whole billowy front thing isn't very flattering in this snap.

Anyway, if we can't talk about shoes then there isn't any point and I'll have to just say a HUGE congrats to Kathryn Bigelow for being the first female director to win an Oscar...and it was so overdue. How could anyone have over looked the best film of all time...POINT BREAK! She should have won an Oscar long ago in my opinion. What's better than old Reeves doing a bit of undercover work with some adrenaline junky surfers..!? Nout in my opinion. Okay so the Hurt Locker was good too. You go girl! And shall we also say that she looked bloomin gorgeous in this Yves Saint Laurent gown.

Ciao Ciao!

Falling down the rabbit hole...

Just can't wait to go and see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. It has inspired a good few of the SS10 collections which makes me think it must be bloomin brilliant....

Now we have all seen the Versace collection that was tres Alice-chic but I have to say that I LOVE the literal translation in Tarina Tarantino's new Acid Alice collection. Kitsch and bloody lovely! My fave is the white rabbit necklace...so cute!

NUDES HARD TO FIND

I am a woman on a mission. SS10, as we all know, is all about NUDES....nudes, pastels, transparent and floaty light fabrics. Underwear as outerwear and most importantly chunky wedges and ankle boots in Summer. And I am really trying to get into this...I am desperately hunting that perfect pair of nude, leg lengthening wedges, but can I find some to my liking? Well as a matter of fact I am yet to find the perfect pair. But there are some on my “back up plan” list…

These beauties by Miu Miu are most certainly on the list..

And as a more affordable option these fab dior-esque wedges by Topshop have got to be up there.

Okay so maybe it isn’t that bad then! I think next week I’ll start my search for those pesky ankle boots….

RIP McQueen

Today the fashion pack officially mourns the death of ones of Britain's most influential designers Lee Mc Queen.

And how can we ever forget the man that brought us this clutch....

Not to mention all the AMAZING footwear....

Lee you will be so sadly missed.

RIP

I'm so 2000 and late!

If there is anything that I am desperate for this season it is ... well to be honest it's the entire Giles SS10 ready to wear collection. And as I am sure you can guess the dino Tshirt may be my all time favourite TShirt design. But hey, how behind I am, it just doesn't seem right to contemplate ones wish list for SS10 when AW10 is EVERYWHERE. And how beautiful some of it is too! Everyone always seems so down on London Fashion week but there are so many beautiful designs strutting down the runways. How could anyone ignore Christopher Kane's amazing embroidery on leather?!

Not to mention the amazing goth-princess look floating down the catwalk from Meadham Kirchhoff. Pretty-grunge perfection if you ask me.

Better start with the AW10 wish list now.
